Tarvin Village

March 26th - 2 sacks

To be honest, having seen how much litter has appeared on the bypass again, I was a bit disheartened, it was raining and I didn’t really want to go out today but, the clocks went forward, I was up and I thought I’d go and catch all the Costa cups from the roundabout and the litter I had seen all week while leaving and returning to Tarvin.

Fortunately, Nancy was also out this weekend and managed to go on a trip along her patch which as you can see, I repeated the following day and we both still managed to get a sack each.

I will try and get out again to the bypass but that won’t be until Easter week, hopefully at least it should be easy to collect as it hasn’t been there long, long enough to get tangled in weeds and shredded by lawn mowers.

No gas cans to report this week but I did find a lot of balloons which is what these people use to inhale the Nitrous Oxide gas. Fortunately it was announced today that the government plan to ban it.

That’s not great news for my Coffee shop: Citrus, we use Nitrous to whip cream and obviously health professionals use it for pain relief.

Can you Help?

I am proud to live where I do and I am also proud to be collecting this rubbish in my own time but it is more than a one-man job. We need a coordinated team effort which is permanent and sustained. If you could volunteer or help me raise funds for tools, please, click the button…
